Dear All
I would very much like to pass-on my sincerest thanks to those who contributed towards my retirement gift… The Gold Skeleton Pocket Watch has been much admired by many and it will always remind me of my colleagues and the many happy years working on the Knab. The Meal with friends and colleagues at Monty’s was very much enjoyed by both June and myself… that, of course, also includes all the “shenanigans” afterwards. We also enjoyed a lovely Family get-together at Busta House Hotel and later, a night out with close friends and well-wishers – thank you all very much.
I also wanted you to know it has been a pleasure working with such a flexible; good-natured and dedicated group of Coastguards and I will miss you and the work; nevertheless, time to retire had arrived.
I also wish you all and Shetland Coastguard well in the future and I hope to hear of many successful rescues being co-ordinated from the knab for many years yet.
My kindest regards to you all.
Sandy
